The Cheltenham College Register 1841–1910 (1911) lists “Bennett, Arthur Buckley” as the son of “Captain Samuel Barker Bennett, Stamford House, Lytham.” The Manors of Wike Burnell and Wyke Waryn (1901) 206 describes him as a major in the Austrian cavalry.
