Compiled Tennyson concordance (1869), “a thing thoroughly illegal” (Lang and Shannon, eds, Letters of Alfred Lord Tennyson 2 (1987) 534. An “art critic, and later editor of the Birmingham Weekly Post, whose work appeared under the pseudonymn ‘Rufus’ " (Ian Fletcher, Rediscoverying Herbert Horne (1990) 2). Taught Herbert Horne at Miss Moore’s Grammar School (Elizabeth A. Molina, A Historiography and Reevaluation of the Herbert P. Horne Foundation (2018) 40).
