obit. in Times (May 20, 1901); Cracroft’s Peerage. Married Archibald Primrose, Lord Dalmeny (1809–1851) in 1843 and Lord Harry Vane (1803–1891) in 1854; the latter assumed surname “Powlett” in 1864. Lord Rosebery, son from first marriage became Prime Minister in 1894–1895.
