Biographical sources

ODNB; obit. at NQ 6.12.20. Changed spelling of name from “Ellicombe” to “Ellacombe” in 1850, when he moved from being vicar of Bitton to being rector of Clyst St George, Devon. A campanologist and horticulturalist. Father of Henry Nicholson Ellacombe, who succeeded him in Bitton in 1850.
